Elevation and Facade Surveys

church elevations-Model-.png

Facades and Elevations Survey is a practice that accurately measures the elevations of buildings to register all of the visible architectural and structural elements such as doors, parapets, windows, openings, roofs, canopies, columns and other.

Facade survey is an effective tool used to record the building details that are not shown on the plans. It provides accurate representation of the existing construction that saves time, money and reduces risks that could potentially negatively affect the project.

To produce facades and elevations drawings various surveying techniques and tools are used. The most appropriate method is selected individually based on required level of detail and by the nature of the surveyed area. Surveyors use either laser scanners or total stations (or both) on site and convert the data into 2D or 3D CAD drawings depending on the client's requirements.
