A measured building survey (MBS or floor plans) is a drawing of a building which presents the structure and visible internal and external architectural and structural features. This information is essential for understanding and accurate description of the existing building helping to plan future works and provides necessary information for architects, structural engineers and H&S officers.

 

Often, depending on purpose of the survey and client, the level of detail required to be presented on drawings greatly varies from site to site.
